Jay Si Proof Jeff Chilton should have become a high school band director after graduating from Ithaca College in upstate NY. Instead he took an Amtrak train to Portland, OR with naught but a trombone at his side and an acoustic guitar on his back. The soggy jazz soaked dirt of Portland proved creatively fertile and after meeting fellow artists Corey Heppner, Lucas James, and JD Erickson, Chilton took on the moniker Jay Si and created the musical organism Jay Si Proof, bringing their “silly and euphoric vibe” (Portland Mercury) up and down the west coast. Jay Si Proof is described as "earth jazz alchemists" by Vortex Magazine and has been featured twice on PDX Pop Now, ranked in the Mercury's top music videos of 2024, and performed at countless PNW music festivals. Chilton has become a veteran of the music industry, touring the world aboard Royal Caribbean ships, performing with Broken Social Scene's Pickathon performance, adding his horn to Motown legends The Diamonds and The Platters. jaysiproof.com
JAMN Formed in 2022, JAMN (pronounced like “damn”) is a Seattle-based pop-funk band made up of professional gigging musicians, music educators, and guys who generally like to show off their chops at local open jam sessions. With humble beginnings at a local “battle of the bands” and with each member having been a featured act at Mo’Jam Mondays (Seattle’s largest weekly open jam), this group of friends quickly grew notorious within the Seattle music scene for performing wacky stage antics while keeping the music deadly serious. With a wide range of influences, their sound blends lighthearted and danceable pop songwriting with tight and complex fusion instrumentation to create an upbeat vibe with a surprising amount of depth. It’s tough to pin down a genre when combining the sounds of soul, funk, R&B, and jazz-fusion with lyrics about “sinking mega-yachts” and “feeling like macaroni”, but that unabashed authenticity is exactly what gives JAMN its charm. https://www.jamnlikedamn.com/

“Materosmuckerificus”, commonly known as The Mother Smuckers, is a mutated organism believed to have formed in 2021 when Christian and Tyler fell into a contaminated vat of radioactive jelly. Their friends Micah and Brandon came along to rescue them from the ooze, but got pulled in themselves. What emerged was a highly contagious strain of funk fusion; side effects of contamination include: involuntary movement, chronic stank face, and loss of inhibitions.
The Mother Smuckers have a wide range of musical tastes and influences from classic rock and metal to jazz, funk, and soul giving them a unique and compelling sound. The band is influenced by funk-pop artists like Cory Wong, Fearless Flyers, and Scary Pockets as well as fusion artists like Mark Lettieri, High Fade, and Plini.
